Starting this trending pink series in 2022, the color holds different meanings and symbols. When I was little, pink was my favorite color. My sisters liked orange and yellow. It wasn't cool to like pink. In graduate art school, pink was gender stereotyped, it reflected societal pressures, vulnerability, and weakness. Then it didn't! Pink began to stand for breast cancer, women's rights, marches filled with pink hats. There was a shift as women united in the color, we now own it! For me personally, going pink after years of living under the clouds of cancer, meant holding on to hope and being unapologically the girl I was, I love pink!
